What terrible things did Muammar Gaddafi do?
He had been called a tyrant, a dictator, a terrorist and some other terrible names.

You know who he is, right? The popular and controversial African leader who was killed in a drainage canal in 2011.

Colonel Gaddafi led the country of Libya for more than four decades .

  • He may have been a terrible leader , but a few articles I stumbled upon changed my perspective on this man. Sometimes we're not told everything about a story;
  • Libya's GDP per capita in 2010 was 12064.8 USD. It was 7529 USD in 2018;
  • Nursing mothers began receiving 5000 (US dollars) for themselves and the child.
  • There were no electricity bills or the price was ridiculous;
  • A house, farmland, live stock and seeds were given free of charge to those who wanted to start farming;
  • Education and medical treatment were absolutely free ;
  • Generous subsidies were given for weddings, housing and car purchases. Now Libyans have to pay the full price for everything;
  • He built the largest irrigation system in the world recognized as "the eighth wonder of the world" its purpose was to provide water to all Libyans throughout the country;
  • His last words to his killers were " What have I done to you ?"

Was he really a terrible leader or were people/governments outside tired of him?

ONE OF THE MOST SEXIST AND RACIST PHOTOS EVER USED FOR ADVERTISING.

The photo dates back to 1991, when Linda Evangelista posed with seven other women for an advertising campaign. Up to this point everything would seem normal if it weren't for the fact that the photo taken in Sicily for an advertising campaign for the clothing company Kenar Enterprises Ltd, had deliberately highlighted the beauty of the evangelist by contrasting her with those of seven women who were obviously far from the canons of beauty of the top model. The company had told them that it was an anti-AIDS campaign and had paid them only 10,000 lire.

The advertising poster was cruelly renamed “Beauty and the Seven Beasts”.

In one fell swoop, all women, especially Sicilian ones, had been hit and denigrated.

One of the women involved in the deception took legal action against Kenar Enterprises. In 2000 the company was forced to pay 20 million lire as compensation for damages to the woman who, in the meantime, had died.

 Why do so many people with high IQs fail to reach their full potential?

It's a bit like the peak of peaks.

None of this had been decided by him. Once his genius was discovered—an IQ above 200—he was placed in an accelerated learning program.

After accumulating a dizzying array of academic accolades, he worked at NASA for years before abruptly resigning.

So we have the brightest boy in the world, someone whose intelligence outshines most Harvard students, who drops out.

Why? He wasn't happy. It was too intense for him. He felt like a machine and wanted a normal life.

He now works at a regular university as a professor. A prestigious job for most people. But for him? Not so much. Kim is regularly referred to by Korean media as a "failed genius." With all his gifts, he was expected to change the world and innovate in several fields of science.

The question is: Who decided Kim should change the world? Certainly not him.

Mr. Kim is probably someone with whom most people don't have much in common. But he is a down-to-earth example of the problems intelligent people face because of their "potential." Just because someone is brilliant, strong, or creative doesn't mean they want to be king of the world.

Some people are happy with a simple life. Happiness is the ultimate goal. If they are happy, your expectations no longer matter.

What is the most interesting but little known historical invention?

In ancient times, women who suffered from anxiety, depression, and sudden mood swings were sent to the doctor. After an "examination", it was decided that they suffered from "female hysteria".

To help fight this disease, a series of treatments were created, including "pelvic massage", with the aim of achieving what at the time was called "pelvic paroxysm", that is, an orgasm.

Soon the treatment became popular, and so many women went to the doctor for the treatment that they had to create a special device.

The artifact emitted rhythmic vibrations and massages and, at first, wealthy women or women of good families kept them in their homes in case any "outbreak of hysteria" appeared.

This is how one of the first vibrators in history was created. A device that is still used today, and that obviously took on a purely s*xual nuance.

It is interesting to see how the vibrator emerged from an apparent illness and how the treatment quickly became popular.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TRUTHS THAT'LL BLOW YOUR MIND.

  1. Your mind lies to you — it makes you believe your fears are bigger than they really are.
  2. We’re all controlled by our emotions — even when we think we’re thinking logically, our feelings are pulling the strings.
  3. We don’t see the world as it is — we see it through the lens of our own experiences, biases, and beliefs.
  4. The brain loves comfort — you’ll stick to bad habits and unhealthy relationships because the brain wants what’s familiar.
  5. People don’t change unless they want to — no matter how much you try to fix someone, it’s their decision, not yours.
  6. We’re addicted to drama — we crave the chaos, whether it’s in our relationships, social media, or our own minds.
  7. The need for validation is real — we may say we don’t care about others’ opinions, but deep down, we’re all seeking approval.
  8. The past shapes you more than you realize — your childhood, your trauma, your memories—they stay with you, influencing everything you do.
  9. You’re your own worst enemy — that voice in your head doubting you, holding you back? That’s all you.
  10. Our brains are wired for survival, not happiness — your mind is more focused on keeping you safe than making you feel good.
  11. Most of your decisions are unconscious — you think you’re making choices with your logic, but most of it’s driven by hidden emotions and desires.
  12. Fear of rejection is a powerful motivator — it drives us to act in ways we don’t even understand, just to feel accepted.
  13. Happiness is a choice, not a guarantee — if you wait for life to hand it to you, you’ll keep waiting. You’ve got to create it yourself.

ONE LAST GOODBYE

Mom, I went out to a party tonight. I remembered what you always told me—not to drink alcohol. So I didn’t. I chose a Sprite instead. I felt proud because I made a smart, healthy choice. You were right.

When the party ended, lots of people started driving even though they had been drinking. But I felt safe, Mom, because I hadn’t. I walked to my car, sure I’d make it home just fine.

But then something happened that I never saw coming.

Now I’m lying here on the road. I hear a police officer say, “The driver who caused the crash was drunk.”

Your voice feels so far away, Mom. I’m covered in blood. I’m trying not to cry, but the pain is so bad. I hear the doctors say, “This girl is going to die.”

That driver went out to party too, but he made the choice to drink and drive. And now… I have to die.

Why do people do this, Mom? Don’t they know it can ruin lives?

It feels like my body is being cut by a hundred knives. Please tell my sister not to be scared. Tell Dad to be strong. I love you so much, Mom. I wish I could get one last kiss.

Someone should have told that boy how dangerous it is to drink and drive. Maybe if his parents had warned him, I would still be alive.

My breathing is getting slower. I’m so scared. These are my last moments, and I feel so alone. I wish you could hug me, Mom, while I lie here dying.

I want to tell you I love you… but I can’t feel anything anymore. Mama… I love you. Goodbye…

VAPING IS SUBSTANTIALLY LESS HARMFULL THAN SMOKING

Vaping is substantially less harmful than smoking, and that is exactly why it is so dangerous. (Bear with me.)

According to the NHS-UK, people who switch from smoking to vaping have significantly reduced exposure to toxins associated with risks of cancer, lung disease, heart disease and stroke.

And although e-cigarettes do contain nicotine (which is highly addictive), it is not the nicotine which does most of the damage in smoking cigarettes, but actually the many other toxins in cigarettes (such as tar). And this remains true even when it is a fact that vapers sip a lot more from their e-cigarettes than tobacco users inhale.

The claim that vaping causes popcorn lung is also a myth: popcorn lungs are caused by diacetyl (which is used to flavor popcorn), which in some countries (such as the UK) is even banned as an ingredient in vapes. It is contained in cigarettes though.

Then why is it so dangerous ?

Answer: because it is less harmful. The exact same reason why there are more biting incidents in children by Labrador retrievers than by more nasty dogs: Labradors are so nice and friendly that they are much more allowed to be approached and cuddled by (small) children. Put two and two together and you have a powerful recipe for possible disaster.

The same formalism holds for e-cigarettes: since they are much less harmful than tobacco cigarettes (although nicotine is still harmful by all means), teenagers and young adults turn to them way faster than to those nasty cancer cigs. And it is a fact that the chances to initiate cigarette smoking are significantly larger in vapers than in non-vapers.

So now we finally have a clear answer to your question:

Not so much, but yes.

WILL GOD FORGIVE ME IF I COMMIT ADULTERY AGAIN AND AGAIN?

I’ve been a Christian since childhood, and one of the most important things I learned during my 80 years of Christian awareness, is that to forgive at the human level is divine. And Jesus taught us to forgive regardless of our brother sinning again and again and again. Meaning, only God has the right to judge those who sin, and that means God also has the power to forgive time and again.

However, to continue to sin and realize you are sinning, doesn’t suggest you respect God enough to stop doing the things that are abhorrent to God.
